Thailand Yacht Charter and Sailing Holidays Guide for Vacations

Thailand is an amazing country that people can visit for a yacht charter or sailing holiday. These are a number of different places along the eastern and western ends of Thailand for a yacht charter to be held on.

The western side of Thailand is also a popular site for yacht charter and sailing holidays. The west is home to the main port town of Phuket and is right along the Andaman Sea. This is where most charters will be found around Thailand.

Phang Nga Bay, which is right in between Phuket and Krabi, is a popular site for many yacht charters and sailing holidays to be held at. This is famous for its amazing sea mountains. A variety of small lakes and coves can be found around the area with a variety of anchorage spots available for charters of all sorts.

Another area that a charter can bring one to is Koh Phi Phi, a small island located right outside of Phuket. Koh Phi Phi features a massive national park that is available for exploring. A number of diving areas can also be found around here.

The eastern side of Thailand, which is home to the main city of Bangkok, offers a number of places for a charter to go to as well. This part of Thailand is one that is located right inside the Gulf of Thailand and is home to some of the largest cities around Thailand.

When on a charter on the east people can experience all sorts of amazing resort cities that are home to all sorts of nightclubs and authentic Thai restaurants. These include the cities of Chon Buri, Pattaya and Koh Chang.

Koh Samet is another site to visit. This is an island off of the coast in the Gulf of Thailand that is home to the Hat Sai Kaew, a massive beach that is popular for any charter to stop at. A number of bays can be found including some quiet ones in Ao Nuan and Ao Noi Na and more popular areas like Ao Hin Krong. These areas are popular for their many watersport areas.

Koh Chang is further south along the Gulf of Thailand. This island area home to a large marine park that is open for diving. The nearby archipelago is even home to a battleship wreck that people can visit.

When going around Thailand on either side of the country a variety of different activities can be enjoyed. Traditional Thai barbeques can be enjoyed on one’s ship as many charters will offer full kitchens that work with traditional Thai cooking processes. In addition to this traditional sailboats and yachts can be offered along with catamarans.

Be aware when getting into Thailand for a sailing trip that temperatures are exceptionally high during most times of the year. Highs can be around thirty degrees Celsius during most times of the year. Having a charter that is well air conditioned will be a good thing to have while out on the waters of Thailand.
