Leeward Antilles Catamaran and Sailboat Charter Guide for Holidays and Vacations

The Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean are great places to check out for holidays. In order to get the most out of water travel to this area it is best to take a look at some factors in this Leeward Antilles catamaran and sailboat charter guide for any holiday or vacation event. First it helps to know what the Leeward Antilles are. These are Caribbean islands that are located right off of the coast of Venezuela. These include the islands of Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles islands of Bonaire and Curacao. A number of different islands that are part of Venezuela, including Las Aves and La Orchilla, are also featured around this area. This is a unique part of the Caribbean Sea to visit when on a holiday. It is good to see how many people will be able to fit into catamaran and sailboat charters out in this area. Most of these ships that offer charters to the Leeward Antilles will be able to handle twelve or more people on average alongside a good-sized crew that can work to handle a variety of duties. In addition to this many charters will offer trips to nearby areas around the Leeward Antilles. These include areas like St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada and the U.S. Virgin Islands. With this in mind most people who go on charters out here will generally enter through Trinidad or Puerto Rico, two areas around these areas. It will be especially important to watch for a good catamaran or sailboat that can work with air conditioning or fans when getting to the Leeward Antilles because of how hot the area can be throughout the year. During most times of the year the temperatures around the area can be around thirty degrees Celsius or eighty-six degrees Fahrenheit. This can be a hot temperature that can be bothersome and can be especially difficult in catamarans or sailboats that might not have air conditioning features inside of them. In fact the hot temperatures that come through the Leeward Antilles throughout the year can contribute to how catamaran and sailboat charters are generally going to be more expensive during the winter months than they would be during some times when temperatures can be warmer. The hurricane season, which is from July to October, will be the cheapest time of the year to get a charter set up because of the risk that a hurricane can pose to ships. Hurricanes do not generally occur around this area because of how it is located outside of the hurricane belt of the Atlantic Ocean. It still helps to prepare for any emergencies because of how hurricanes have come by the area in the past and that in many cases strong storms that can surround the path of a hurricane or other tropical system can impact the waters. It will help to be sure that a catamaran or sailboat charter has plenty of safety equipment on hand so that everyone will be protected in the event that anything dangerous happens due to one of these systems.
