Florida Yacht Charter and Sailing Holidays Guide for Vacations

When it the American state of Florida it is great to see the many different areas around Florida that one can visit through a yacht charter. This type of charter can be found throughout all of Florida but it does help to watch for hurricanes at some times.

There are a number of areas around Florida that a yacht charter can be taken from. The southern city of Miami is a popular area for charters. This city is home to the Miami Beach Marina, a massive marina that is home to all sorts of clubs and restaurants along with a large beach area. This is a popular place to check out before or after getting on a yacht charter. Areas that can be visited along Miami on a charter include Key Biscayne and Fisher Island.

Key West is another popular place to see. Key West is located at the bottom part of Florida and features a variety of islands that people can sail around. There are a number of different islets, basins and cays to visit around Key West with most of them being ones that are completely empty. The white beaches and diving areas around Key West are amazing and make for some of the best places to see in Florida when on a yacht charter. Before going on a charter people can visit in Key West the Old Town section that includes a home that was once occupied by author Ernest Hemingway.

St. Petersburg and Clearwater, which are both located right near Tampa, are exciting places too. These areas feature many yacht charters and sailing holidays that can be experienced along the Tampa Bay. People can travel along the many keys and islands located around the area as well as go right through the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

There are a few areas along the northern area of Florida to see. For instance, Amelia Island, which is not too far from the city of Jacksonville, is near the border with the state of Georgia and offers sailing services that are right near the Cumberland Island National Seashore. Some anchorage areas can be found around the area where people can dock to visit the area and the beaches and shore lands that are all over it.

The northwestern section of Florida can also offer charters. This is especially the case in the city of Pensacola.

Yacht charters and sailing holidays can be found for seven days around Florida. The high season for yachting is from January to April when most other parts of North America are going to be colder than what it is like in Florida. Day sailing can be made available from many charters as well.

It will help to know that all charters used should be ones that have been properly authorised by the American Sailing Association. Anyone who wants to use a bareboat charter will have to pass all proper exams in order to be able to control a yacht out here.

Also, it helps to watch for how hurricanes can get into the area. The entire Florida area, particularly the Key West and Miami areas, are vulnerable to hurricanes in the months of June to November. This area is vulnerable primarily due to the warm waters that surround Florida.
