Baltic Sea Yacht Charter and Sailing Holidays Guide for Vacations

The Baltic Sea offers many opportunities for sailing. With this in mind there are various different Baltic Sea yacht charters and other companies that offer sailing holidays and vacations. Here are a few things to think about when looking into one of these vacations.

First it helps to get an idea of where a yacht charter can depart from. Most yacht charters in the area will depart from the southern end of the Baltic Sea. These include such areas as major cities around Germany, Denmark and Russia including St. Petersburg, Copenhagen and Malmo. The Polish city of Gdansk is a popular port area as well. These are all areas that feature a variety of different charters with all sorts of boats.

A number of different islands can also be experienced along the Baltic Sea on a yacht charter. This is especially the case with Finland in that a massive archipelago that features all sorts of former land masses sticking out as islands can be found in that area. The Archipelago Sea, which is where a variety of these islands can be found, is a popular area for charter holidays to be held at.

A massive archipelago near Sweden can be experienced as well. In fact there are hundreds of different islands right off of the city of Stockholm.

There are many resort towns that can be enjoyed during the course of a day during a sailing holiday on the Baltic Sea. For instance, Svetlogorsk, Russia features a variety of different beach areas and restaurants. Kolobrezg, Poland features a massive town centre along with a lighthouse and some medieval architectural remains. Klaipeda, Lithuania features a massive pier alongside a number of resort areas. Different charters can offer stops in one of these various resort towns alongside other cities that border the Baltic Sea.

Most charters around the area will feature different types of yachts and sailboats. In most cases a yacht will be about fifty feet long and can work with ten people. One of these yachts can be chartered out for about fifteen hundred Euros a week. The value can vary by the area that the charter is being handled in as well as the size of the ship. Because of how close together some islands are fifty feet is generally going to be the norm for a charter here.
